I have a VERY close friend who is like a brother to me. We grew up together.
We grew up doing wild shit. We wreaked havoc together.
He was a track & field fanatic and I was a wrestling fanatic.
We would run together… sometimes distance, other times sprints and
other times we would squeeze through the chained fences of the OLD Rutgers
Football Stadium at 11 PM or Midnight and run endless stairs and sprint hard 400s
until 1 in the morning.
I learned to drive stick on his OLD school Volksawagen Buggy when I was 15 years old (I do
NOT encourage illegal activity by the way
I remember he was motivated as hell to become great but something always seemed to get in his way.
He wanted to go to The Naval Academy but kept missing the acceptance. He attended a Prep Academy
out in California and still missed out.
He began college and wound up hopping from one college to the next. How could this be?
The track star that he was, a team captain and he could NOT finish the things he was setting out on.
He always seemed to stop RIGHT before the finish line.
Now, in his late 30s he is back in school, pushing hard to make it happen and focused on crossing
the finish line.
I’ve seen Strength Coaches do the same. They float on the verge of being average and NEVER
push for greatness. No matter how much advice, motivation and pushing they get they still
don’t DO what they can do.
Do they fear success?
Do YOU fear greatness?
When you get good at something you will have critics.
When you become GREAT you will have HATERS, MANY of them.
Do you want to become GREAT or not? It’s a Yes / No answer, there is NO in between.
Check this Video Below and think about your short term goals and long term goals.
Are you REALLY pushing the envelope or just being average?
Stop being scared of success. Face your fears dead square in the eyes and Go Kick Some SERIOUS ASS!

Great stuff really hit home. If you have a dream be proud of it, screw the doubt, screw the haters, just do it.
Thanks,
Blaine
Thanks for this. Very inspiring. Easier said than done. It’s hard to stop being afraid of success when it comes along with haters – and you have confidence issues. So I guess you need to get some confidence to get rid of that fear.
Thanks again.
